MoiScout ("MoiScout", "we", "us") operates moiscout.com, a service that finds public brand requests for UGC creators and delivers them by email. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what your choices are. We run from Ontario, Canada and handle personal information in line with Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and CASL).

What we collect

Information you give us

• Email address, when you sign up for the daily digest, use a free tool, or create an account.
• Preferences you set, such as niches, content formats, eligibility region, and rate floor.
• Links you submit to our tools, such as a portfolio URL for the Portfolio Grader.
• Messages you send us.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: pages visited, buttons clicked, referral source, and campaign tags (UTM parameters). We use PostHog for product analytics.
• Advertising measurement: if you arrive from an ad, the TikTok advertising pixel records page views and signups so we can tell which ads work. It sets cookies to do that. - Basic technical data: browser type, device type, and approximate location derived from IP address.

Information about brands in our leads

Our lead data is compiled from publicly available sources such as public Reddit posts, job listings, and public ad libraries. It describes businesses and public requests, not our users.

How we use it

• Deliver the daily digest and any alerts you sign up for.
• Run the free tools and email you the results you request.
• Operate, secure, and improve the service, including analytics.
• Send service messages such as sign in links, receipts, and policy updates.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not send you marketing email without your consent, and every marketing email includes a working unsubscribe link.

Email and consent

The daily digest is sent only to people who requested it. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, and unsubscribes take effect promptly. Transactional emails (such as sign in links or tool results you asked for) are sent as part of providing the service.

Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run MoiScout, under their own privacy commitments:

• Resend (email delivery)
• PostHog (product analytics)
• Vercel (website hosting)
• Railway (application hosting and database)
• Anthropic (AI classification of leads, and of portfolio pages submitted to the Portfolio Grader)
• Stripe (payments, when paid plans launch)
• TikTok and Google advertising services (ad measurement, when ads run)

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the service and its users.

Data retention

We keep your account and subscription data while you use the service. If you unsubscribe, we keep your address on a suppression list so we do not email you again. You can ask us to delete your data entirely at any time.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe from the digest at any time.
• Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete your personal information.
• Turn off analytics and advertising measurement by enabling Do Not Track in your browser. Our product analytics store nothing on your device. The TikTok advertising pixel does set cookies, and Do Not Track stops it loading at all.

Security

We use industry standard measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No online service can guarantee perfect security.

Children

MoiScout is for adults working with brands. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and note the new effective date. Significant changes will be announced by email.
